Before You Begin
You need Super Admin or Admin access to manage active cycles.
This article covers the cycle management view that opens once a cycle has been launched. For cycle creation, see the Performance Cycle Creation series starting from Step 1.
Opening an Active Cycle
Go to Boost in the left navigation, then select Performance Cycles. Find your cycle in the list and click on it to open the cycle management view.
The cycle name and current status are shown at the top of the page. Two controls appear in the top right:
Actions — a dropdown with options to Edit Cycle or Delete Cycle.
End Cycle — a button that closes the cycle and finalizes all scores. Use this only when the cycle is fully complete.
Cycle Tabs
The active cycle page is organized into seven tabs. Each tab gives a different view of the cycle:
Performance Insights — score distributions and performance level breakdowns across participants.
Potential Insights — potential rating data for participants enrolled in potential evaluation.
Goals Insights — progress and completion data for smart goals in this cycle.
Cycle Insights — a real-time progress overview of sheets, approvals, and reviews. This is the main tab for monitoring the day-to-day health of the cycle.
Participants — the full list of participants in this cycle with per-participant actions such as sending reminders, adding goals, and managing sheets.
Departments Goals — status of department-level goals set by department managers.
Reviews — a breakdown of review submissions and completion across review stages.
Cycle Insights Tab
The Cycle Insights tab gives you a real-time snapshot of where every sheet stands in the cycle. Use this tab to monitor overall progress and identify bottlenecks before they affect the cycle timeline.
Sheets Progress
The Sheets Progress section has two charts:
Sheets Status Overview shows how many performance sheets are at each stage:
Completed — sheets that have fully passed through all workflow stages.
In Progress — sheets currently active in one or more workflow stages.
Not Started — sheets that have not yet entered any workflow stage.
Approval Status Overview shows the approval state of all sheets:
Approved — sheets that have been formally approved.
In Progress — sheets currently under review by an approver.
Returned — sheets that were sent back for revision.
Pending — sheets waiting to be picked up by an approver.
Use the Filters button to narrow the view by department, division, role, or job level. Click Reset to clear filters.
Reviews Progress
The Reviews Progress section shows how far reviewers have gotten in each review stage. Use the All Reviewsdropdown to switch between specific review stages in the workflow.
Manager Review Progress — completion status of manager-submitted reviews: Completed, In Progress, or Not Started.
Self Review Progress — completion status of talent-submitted self-reviews: Completed, In Progress, or Not Started.
This section helps you identify which review stages are falling behind so you can take action from the Participants tab.
Managers Sending The Most Feedback
This chart ranks managers by the volume of feedback they have submitted in the selected review stage. Use the dropdown to switch between review stages.
This view is useful for spotting managers who are highly engaged versus those who may need a reminder to complete their reviews.
Participants Tab
The Participants tab shows a full list of everyone enrolled in the cycle. From this tab you can take direct actions on individual participants:
Send a reminder — notify a talent who has not yet started or submitted their sheet, or notify their manager to complete a pending approval or review.
Add goals — if a talent has not added their goals, an admin can add goals on their behalf directly from this tab.
Approve a sheet — if a sheet is pending approval and needs to be moved forward, an admin can approve it here.
Manage the sheet — open the individual performance sheet to review its current state, see which stages it has passed through, and take any needed action.
Actions Menu
Click Actions in the top right to access cycle-level controls:
Edit Cycle — opens the cycle creation wizard so you can update cycle settings. Note that locked settings (components, rating labels, score formulas) cannot be changed after the cycle is live.
Delete Cycle — permanently removes the cycle and all associated sheets. This action cannot be undone.
Ending a Cycle
Click End Cycle to close the cycle. Once ended:
No further changes can be made to performance sheets.
Final scores are locked and become available in reporting and insights.
Talents can view their final results if the Publish Scores step has run.
Only end the cycle when all workflow stages are complete and scores have been published. Ending a cycle early will cut off any stages that have not yet run.
