Before You Begin
You need Super Admin or Admin access to configure a performance cycle.
Step 4 follows Step 3: Cycle Configurations. Complete Step 3 before continuing.
The rating labels you define here are used in appraisal questions (Step 3), the expected scores distribution (Step 8), and anywhere a score label appears on performance sheets.
Review Method
The Review Method section determines how reviewers enter their scores.
Choose one of two methods:
Numeric rating — Reviewers select a pre-configured rating from the rating scale. For example, a reviewer clicks "3 — Meets Expectations" from a list of labeled options. This is the default and most common method.
Percentage score — Reviewers enter a percentage for each evaluation item. For example, a reviewer types "85%" for a goal. Lumofy calculates the score from the entered percentage.
Rating Labels
Rating labels define the names and descriptions for each score on the rating scale. The labels you set here appear on review forms and performance sheets throughout the cycle.
By default, Lumofy provides five labels:

The first label automatically receives the Lowest tag and the last label the Highest tag. These tags help Lumofy understand the direction of your scale.
Adding a Description
Expand any label by clicking on it to reveal the Description (optional) field. Enter a description to give reviewers guidance on what each rating level means. Descriptions appear as helper text on the review form.
Reordering Labels
Drag the six-dot handle on the left of any label row to reorder it. The Lowest and Highest tags update automatically based on position.
Editing and Removing Labels
Click the edit icon on any label to change its name. Click the X to remove a label. You must have at least two labels on the scale.
Adding More Labels
Click + Add more at the bottom of the label list to add a new label. Enter the label name. The Lowest and Highest tags shift to the new outermost labels automatically.
Saving and Moving to Step 5
At the bottom of the page:
Cancel — exits the wizard without saving.
Save as Draft — saves current settings and keeps the cycle in Draft status.
← Back — returns to Step 3: Cycle Configurations.
Next → — saves Step 4 and moves to Step 5: Work Flow.

No. Rating Settings are locked once the cycle moves past Draft status. Define the review method and labels carefully before launching.
