Before You Begin
Only admins and super admins can return a sheet to a talent.
Sheets with either Pending Approve or Approved status can be returned.
The sheet can be returned more than once in the same cycle if needed.
Returning a sheet does not restart the workflow it gives the talent edit access to their existing sheet along with a note explaining what to fix.
What Returning a Sheet Does
When an admin reviews a talent's sheet and finds that something needs to be corrected or updated before the cycle moves forward, they can send the sheet back to the talent. The talent receives a revision note explaining what needs to change, regains edit access to their sheet, and resubmits when done.
How to Return a Sheet (Admin)
Admins return sheets from the Participants tab inside the cycle.
Go to Performance in the left navigation and open Performance Cycles.
Select the cycle, then click the Participants tab.
In the Talents List, find the talent whose sheet needs to be returned.
Click the ⋮ (three-dot) menu in the Action column next to that talent.
Select Request Revision.
The Request Revision modal opens showing the talent's name and a confirmation message.
Enter a Revision Note explaining what needs to be changed or improved.
Click Send Back for Revision.
What the Talent Sees
Once the sheet is returned, the talent receives a notification. When they open their performance sheet, they see a Revision Note banner at the top of the page showing the admin's note, who requested the revision, and the date.
The sheet is fully editable. The talent can update their goals, competencies, training needs, and any other section as needed.
When the edits are done, the talent clicks Submit for Manager Approval to resubmit the sheet.
