Before You Start

  • You must have Admin access to view company-wide analytics

  • Learning data is shown in the Learning tab of the Analytics section on the Dashboard

  • Learning data comes from activity in the Develop area

Overview

The Learning tab shows how your people engage with learning content. It brings together top topics, active learners, completion rate, top performers, and total learning time, so you can see what is working and where engagement is dropping.

Open Learning Analytics

  1. Go to the Dashboard.

  2. In the Analytics section, select the Learning tab.

Read the Metrics

Top Learning Topics

A ranked bar chart of the most-engaged topics. Switch between Development Pathway and Courses to change what the chart counts, and use the filter to narrow the view.

No. of Active Talents

The count of talents actively learning, with the change from last month and the split between Active and Inactive talents. Use this to gauge reach.

Completion Rate

The overall share of learning that is being completed, shown as a percentage, with Overall Learning Time and the change from last month. A low or falling rate points to content that learners start but do not finish.

Top Learners

A leaderboard of your most active learners, with each person's pathways, courses, and points. Select Leaderboard to see the full ranking.

💡 Tip: Read Top Learning Topics with Completion Rate together. A popular topic with a low completion rate is a sign to review that content.

Interpret Engagement Data

  • High activity, high completion: content is landing well. Keep and expand it.

  • High activity, low completion: learners are interested but dropping off. Review length, difficulty, or structure.

  • Low activity: the content is not being discovered or assigned. Promote it or add it to a pathway.

  • Falling active talents or learning time: a prompt to re-engage learners or refresh content.

📝 Note: Compare metrics over time rather than reading a single number. The month-over-month change shows the direction of travel.
