Written by Abdelrahman Tarek

Before You Start

  • You must have Admin access to create quizzes

  • Open Develop > Quizzes and select New Quiz to begin

  • To link the quiz to skills, your Competencies framework should already be configured

Overview

A quiz is built across three steps: Quiz Details, Quiz Configurations, and Quiz Builder. You move through them in order, and you can go Back to an earlier step at any point before you publish.

Step 1: Quiz Details

Set the name and description Talent will see.

  1. In Quiz's Name, enter a clear name for the quiz.

  2. In Description, enter a short summary of what the quiz covers.

  3. To make the quiz bilingual, select Add Arabic Language and fill in the Arabic name and description.

  4. Select Next Step to continue.

💡 Tip: The Quiz Details you enter here are the English version. Use Add Arabic Language only if Talent should be able to take the quiz in Arabic.

Step 2: Quiz Configurations

Define how the quiz behaves and how it is scored.

Link Competencies

  1. Under Competencies, open Select Competencies.

  2. Choose the Competencies this quiz develops. Completing the quiz reflects progress on those skills.

Set Specifications

  1. In Level, select the difficulty level for the quiz.

  2. In Number of Attempts, enter how many times Talent can take the quiz.

  3. Toggle Quiz Timer on to set a time limit, then enter the duration in minutes.

  4. Toggle Show Talent Correct Answer on if you want Talent to see the correct answer after submitting.

Configure Scoring

  1. Toggle Enable Scoring on to score the quiz.

  2. In Quiz Score, enter the full score (for example, 100).

  3. In Passing Score, enter the mark Talent must reach to pass (for example, 70).

  4. Under Scoring Method, choose Equal scoring to spread points evenly across questions, or Manual scoring to set points per question yourself.

  5. Select Next Step to continue.

📝 Note: If you leave Enable Scoring off, the quiz runs as a knowledge check without a pass or fail result.

Step 3: Quiz Builder

Add and edit the questions.

Add a question

  1. In the Questions panel, select a question type: Multiple Choice, Fill The Blank, or True or False.

  2. The question opens in the editor on the right.

Write the question

  1. In Question Body, type the question text.

  2. Optionally, add an image to the question.

  3. Use the English and Arabic tabs to enter the question in each language if the quiz is bilingual.

Set the answers (Multiple Choice)

  1. Enter each option under Choices.

  2. Select the radio button next to the correct answer.

  3. Toggle Multiple Answer on if more than one option is correct.

  4. Toggle Randomise Choices on to shuffle the order of options for each Talent.

  5. Select Choice to add more options.

Assign points

  1. The Points field appears only when you selected Manual scoring in Quiz Configurations.

  2. Enter a value under Points for the question. These points are awarded when the question is answered correctly.

📝 Note: With Equal scoring, points are distributed automatically across questions, so there is no per-question Points field.

Finish

  1. Repeat for each question you want to add.

  2. Toggle Randomise Questions on to shuffle the question order for each Talent.

  3. Select Publish Quiz to make the quiz available.

⚠️ Warning: Once you select Publish Quiz, the quiz becomes available to Talent. Review your questions and scoring before publishing.
